Something prevented the text engine
@AllieG: - Photoshop, quit failing. Does anyone know how to deal with this error message?
I don't know what Allie was trying to do, but this doesn't seem to be a very helpful user-facing error message.

Chrome can't open HTML files?
"I must be hitting the pipe again, Chrome can't open an html file from my computer?" - theflashbum

After having seen well over a dozen images tweeted like the ones above, and finding it bizarre that Chrome doesn't open HTML files, I gave it a try myself. So far, Chrome has opened the HTML files I have tried to open from my local hard drive. I've opened files by dragging and dropping them onto Chrome. I've opened them by right-clicking and opening with Chrome. I've entered "file://" URLs into the address/search field.
So, either my Chrome has a patch others don't or there's something more to the specific condition under which Chrome doesn't open HTML files.
And if it is specific HTML content that's not supported, an error message blaming the "HTML Document" format is misleading.

Rollover_Click_Widget.cp

This looks like it might be the work of Adobe developers, not Microsoft.... or maybe the combination of the two.
What kind of permission error? Or is the issue that something isn't responding? Not much help for the user here.

HP Software Update Update
ricmarques: Error in HPWUCLI.exe - "Entry Point Not Found" (GetLayeredWindowAttributes) after updating "HP Software Update" from version 4.0 to 5.2, in a desktop running Windows 2000 Professional
FrauTukka: I got the same error after updating last night. Is there any solution yet?
Consider me strange if you like, but I think updates should make things better -- not worse.

Conflicting messages
I tell my computer to print a PDF file. After a short time, Windows displays a bubble telling me the document was sent to the printer.
Than Acrobat displays a dialog stating the document could not be printed.
So which message should I believe? Was my document printed? Looks like I need to take a walk down the hall to the printer.
