Pay us nothing, or else!

Today, I received a threatening email from the electric company. It seems their system incorrectly believes I have not paid my bill, and I have a past due balance of $0.00 that must be paid immediately, or they will disconnect my service.

I think I'll try to make a $0.00 payment through their web site.

Hmmm... It seems their system refuses to accept the $0.00 payment they demand!

You'd think this would be the first thing or at least near the top of test cases to check for?

1. Injection Injection: Injection flaws occur when untrusted data is sent to an interpreter as part of a command. The attacker’s hostile data can trick the interpreter into executing unintended commands or accessing data without authorization.
2. Broken authentication and session management Broken authentication and session management: Application functions related to authentication and session management are often not implemented correctly, allowing attackers to compromise passwords, keys, or session tokens, or to exploit other implementation flaws to assume other users’ identities.
