Step 1) Establish a blog that provides an RSS feed.
Step 2) Add your RSS feed to a feed Reader.
Step 3) Create a new post in your blog. I suggest the body be simple (i.e., "Hello World!")
Step 4) Confirm that your new post eventually appears in your feed Reader with your original text.
Step 5) Edit your post in a significant way (i.e., change text to "Goodbye World!")
Questions:
Does the edited post ever appear in your feed reader? If not, why not?
What is the nature of a feed reader? Is it meant to capture only the initial entries?
This happened to me today. I submitted a post then changed it later. My feed reader (Google Reader) only represented the original post. Is there a problem here?

I think Google Reader will update if you use the Atom protocol, as this can indicate when an article has been updated.

@Andy,
Thanks for the advice. Atom protocol appears to do the trick!
