....well like most our tech specs, design and coding, coding is part of design and planning. So perhaps the site kept uploading while estimating. So that indicated as spent very less time uploading. Where in reality coding or uploading ,in this instance, was projected as less time :) @esaarem
I dunno. The premise of the progress indicator has to be based on something, otherwise why bother showing a progress indicator at all? Maybe there's more to just "calculating" -- maybe they're validating that you've selected actual files, or have permission to access them. Maybe it's taking so long because you're uploading files from a network attached drive, which compounds the problem. Ironically, the solution would be more code and time to "calculate".
Alternatively, the process could just start and then fail 20 minutes later. What's worse?
